History of VAS

In 2011, veteran adjusters Guy Grand and Gary Pitts discussed the need to train new field adjusters. They knew that the number one problem for the industry was getting adjusters to turn in a consistent work product. They also discussed the fact that many of our brave men and women coming back from overseas had no jobs to go home to, with 35% of our returning veterans unemployed. That conversation led to the founding of Veteran Adjusting School (VAS).

Over the next year, Guy, Gary, and Operations Manager, Cheryl Sinn, worked to meet state and federal regulations to start Veteran Adjusting School. VAS was the first licensed vocational school in the country designed to train the next generation of adjusters. It was licensed by the Arizona Post Secondary Board of Education and the VA to accept educational benefits for our heroes. After meeting state and federal regulations, VAS spent the next thirteen years successfully creating “the special ops of adjuster training”. VAS-Trained Adjusters are in the top 10% of all field adjusters in the country. Why? Because they turn in consistent work products.

Our six-week intensive training helped new adjusters enter the adjusting industry. Our graduates successfully entered the insurance adjusting business because of the VAS Process. It was an honor to serve those who served our country.

Veteran Adjusting School is now shifting our model to help experienced adjusters become more efficient and consistent in their adjusting careers. Our new program “The VAS Process” is not limited by state and federal regulations as the VAS-Trained Adjuster Program was. We can now help as many experienced adjusters, our partnering IA firms, and the Carriers as we choose.

After 13 years of successful operations, Veteran Adjusting School closed the
VAS-Trained Adjuster program. Now VAS presents:
